Flexographic Printer Full Time NEW

The company is an established manufacturing business seeking an experienced Flexographic Printer Operator to join their production team. About the Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll be responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of flexographic printing presses, producing high-quality printed materials to specification. You’ll also provide guidance and direction to a Printing Assistant, making this a role with genuine leadership responsibility.

This is a hands-on position where your technical expertise, attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement will make a real difference to the team’s output.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Setting up flexographic presses to job specifications, including mounting plates and changing anilox rollers, sleeves and cylinders
• Adjusting ink viscosity, colour registration and press settings to maintain print quality
• Monitoring production output and driving efficiency across machine time, setup times, waste and downtime
• Identifying and resolving printing issues such as misregistration and ink problems
• Ensuring food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed and accurately recorded
• Promoting a strong safety culture and maintaining compliance with IMS requirements
• Mentoring and directing junior operators to build a high-performing team

About You

• Previous hands-on experience operating a flexographic printer is essential
• Strong mechanical aptitude and physical dexterity
• A proactive communicator who works well within a team
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and meet KPIs
